The giant resonance region in [Formula Presented] was studied with inelastic scattering of 240 MeV α particles at small angles including 0°. A peak at [Formula Presented] with [Formula Presented] was found to contain [Formula Presented] of the isoscalar [Formula Presented] energy-weighted-sum-rule (EWSR) strength and [Formula Presented] of the isoscalar [Formula Presented] EWSR. Evidence was found for [Formula Presented] of the isoscalar [Formula Presented] EWSR between [Formula Presented] with a centroid of [Formula Presented] and a rms half width of 11.1 MeV but a definitive [Formula Presented] assignment could not be made. The resulting [Formula Presented] is in agreement with systematics from heavier nuclei. © 1997 The American Physical Society.
