audio description
Rev. Charles Copher attended Clark College (1938), Gammon Theological Seminary, and Boston University (1947). In 1959, Copher became the first dean of the Interdenominational Theological Seminary. He was a professor at ITC and later served as vice president until he retired in 1978. In this lecture, Dean Copher discusses the theme of conformity with his students. He challenges the students to attempt "to fill their own shoes rather trying to fill someone else's" when preparing sermons. he ends the lecture by referencing the Biblical book of Romans and stating that conformity is only a blessing when the conformity we seek is to "look like the image of God and his son Jesus Christ."
