artifact description
Businesses strive to prevent work-related injuries and protect their workers. For a company to impact their injury metrics, they must understand the hazards their employees face at work. Companies who effectively reduce workplace risks will see a reduction in the number of work-related injuries and associated workers' compensation costs. This Capstone Project investigates one company's proactive ergonomic risk reduction program and its impact on the injury and workers' compensation numbers. The end result shows a risk reduction program that in three years successfully reduced the number of ergonomic injuries and workers' compensation claims experienced by the Company. The Project shows how companies benefit from focused ergonomic risk assessment, prioritization and mitigation programs.
