Do you know what kind of feedback students like? And why? Do you know how to write effective feedback? Do you know what the differences are between the feedback given by novices and experts? Do you know how to train novices to write effective feedback? Employing qualitative and quantitative research methods, this research addresses the nature of written feedback by an experienced faculty and student peers. It offers specific strategies for training novices to write effective feedback. This project can be useful in teacher professional development initiatives, for classroom practitioners and teacher educators.
