Jorge De la O
Jorge is in private practice in Santa Paula, California, specializing in Expressive Art Therapy, Sandplay and Jungian oriented psychotherapy. Currently Jorge is an advance Jungian analyst candidate. In January Jorge retired as public school teacher after 36 years in public and private education and has taught all grades from pre-school through the 8th grade. He has been honored with numerous awards for his excellence in education and continues to support the teachers and children at his old school. It is his love for children and learning as well as his passion for the diversity of life that brought him to the field of Depth Psychology. Jorge is also a poet and has published in Psychological Perspectives. As a part of Pacifica's Adjunct Faculty, Jorge has taught Process of Psychotherapy, Law and Ethics, Mores and Values in Cross Cultural Counseling Group Process and Clinical Practice. In addition to teaching at Pacifica, Jorge has also taught in the counseling program at California Lutheran University. Recently, Jorge was invited to be a presenter at the C.G. Study Center of Southern California Sandplay Conference entitled, "Sandplay: The Power of the Image.
