Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Studies from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Yield New Data on Technology (Influence of Electrode Rotation Speed On Geometry and Internal Structure of Weld Beads In Rotary Tig Wire-arc-directed Energy Deposition)

Article Description
This study investigates the effects of varying the electrode rotational speed in rotary tungsten inert gas (rotary TIG), a novel wire arc additive manufacturing technology. Rotary TIG aims to mitigate the directional nature of the TIG WAAM process, producing weld beads with uniform cross-sections conducive to additive manufacturing. Scripts were developed to analyze the characteristics of deposited single bead profiles. The results demonstrate that increasing the electrode rotational speed leads to increased height at the expense of the width in the weld bead profiles. Additionally, rotary TIG weld bead profiles exhibit a parabolic shape and a geometry forecast model was developed. The effect of electrode rotation speed has been magnified; a metallurgical analysis reveals that the internal structure loses its uniformity as the rotational speed decreases. Furthermore, a thermofluidic dynamic simulation was developed to replicate the rotary TIG welding process. This simulation confirms that electrode rotation speed impacts geometry, aligning with experimental findings.
