Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
The eighteenth century constitutes a clear transitional period in the history of German novel-writing. From a preponderance of idealistic narrative models which demanded an immersive kind of reading from their readers, the novels of this period will progressively effect a transition towards more realistic and self-conscious narratives demanding a distanced reader, aware of his/her own process of reading. This article analyses the role played by Wieland's first novel, Die Abenteuer des Don Sylvio von Rosalva (1764) in the path towards the formation of a new type of reader, but also the fundamental role played by Cervantes in this process. Through the dramatization of various reading processes, Wieland articulates a novel in which the different possibilities for reader reception are very present, thus effecting a reading pedagogy which tries to foster the emergence of a new type of reader willing to understand and enjoy a purely aesthetic way of reading.
