Article Description
Resumen. A partir de testimonios sobre experiencias laborales migratorias, de parentesco y de organización de mujeres kichwas de Cotacachi, Ecuador, examino los procesos sociales que facilitaron la expulsión de niñas para el trabajo doméstico y el establecimiento de redes de contención. Me baso en las memorias infantiles de estas mujeres, que durante las reformas agrarias de 1964 y 1973 tenían entre 8 y 14 años. Los hallazgos demuestran cómo se organizaron las experiencias de migración de estas mujeres hacia Quito, marcadas no sólo por la dominación y desigualdad del trabajo infantil doméstico, sino también por redes horizontales de cuidado centradas en el trabajo y la amistad. El valor de este texto radica en que nos acerca a la experiencia migratoria desde diversas realidades de la infancia trabajadora, en contextos de dominación caracterizados por desigualdades de raza, generación y clase, pero también en situaciones de alianzas y cuidados.
