Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Dataset Description
This dataset contains 6-hourly instantaneous categorial data of the Lamb circulation type (Lamb 1972) on a 2.5 degrees longitude-latitude grid covering the entire northern hemisphere extratropics between 30ºN and 70ºN for the period 1979-2005. These "Lamb catalogues" were calculated for the historical experiments of 46 distinct GCMs from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 5 and 6 and two distinct reanalyses (ERA-Interim and JRA-55). For 12 out of 46 GCMs, 72 additional runs are provided to explore the role of internal model variability. For more information, please refer to the following article: Brands, S. CAUTION: If unpacked, this dataset occupies 93 GB of your local disk space. Update information: Version 2 of this archive includes a .txt file containing the "source" attributes stored in the netCDF files obtained from ESGF. This attribute provides details about the individual component models within the coupled model configurations used in CMIP5 and 6.
