Conference Paper Description

The present study examines the influence of organizational antecedents on the corporate entrepreneurial intensity (CEI) of the employees of Reyes Barbecue Company, a medium-sized enterprise in the Philippines. Consequently, it examines how demographics can moderate the relationship between such antecedents and the CEI of the company’s employees. The study aims to make a unique contribution in the field of corporate entrepreneurship (CE) by applying it in the context of a small-and-medium enterprise (SME) in an emerging economy. The results of the study indicate that organizational antecedents did not influence the CEI of the employees and that none of the demographics moderated the relationship between the said research variables. The present study provides recommendations on how the owners of Chicken World BBQ Co. can increase the CEI of their employees as well as practical implications for owners and managers of SMEs in emerging economies.
