Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Thesis / Dissertation Description
The intention of this independent professional project is to present a way in which phrasal verbs can be taught communicatively. Included in it are five lesson plans which clearly illustrate ways in which this can be done. A grammatical analysis is also included as it is felt that students need to know some of the rules governing phrasal verbs to be able to use them correctly and effectively. A second part of the grammar analysis deals with aspects of phrasal verbs which can be an aid to the teacher in choosing and organizing phrasal verb lesson plans. The lesson plans included in this IPP are organized according to semantic category; e.g., literal, completive, and figurative. The figurative phrasal verb lesson plans are grouped according to topics. Within each lesson plan, listening and speaking skills are emphasized. Activities based on realia, personal student input, and games are examples of the kinds of exercises found in any one lesson plan.
