Article Description
Through my comps I sought to incorporate the ways ideas of beauty and body image effect eating disorders and consequentially impact the way we interact with our dishware. Hopefully my final products provoke viewers to recognize the many emotions and associations embedded in the simple act of eating for most girls today. While I used drawing in surface decoration, my main medium was clay: both stoneware and porcelain fired in hi-fires and wood kilns.
