Hearing loss (HL) is a major public health problem affecting an estimated 1.5 billion of the global population that can lead to cognitive impairment, isolation and economic burden. Dyslipidemia, a known risk factor for cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis, has been recently shown to be associated with hearing impairment. This study aimed to investigate the associations between such atherogenic markers and the degree of hearing loss using continuous NHANES data from cycle years 2011-2012 and 2015-2016. Utilizing Pure Tone Air Conduction Audiometry, laboratory and anthropometric data to analyze prevalence and odds ratios, this study included 8,955 adult participants ages 20-69.
