Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Thesis / Dissertation Description
As the world continues to advance into a more technology-based era healthcare must keep up. With changes in the healthcare system there is always a balance of the good and the bad. In most ways the advancement of technology in healthcare is a positive aspect. We improve patient outcomes and safety with the use of technology, as well as inviting patients to take a more active role in their healthcare experiences. But we also risk becoming too distant from our patients and run a risk for data breaches with the use of technology. In this thesis we delve into the monumental number of positive aspects while keeping the potential negatives in mind. There is a section dedicated to my personal research based on the School of Nursing faculty at Eastern Kentucky University. They willingly gave me data regarding their feelings on the ways technology has impacted their own nursing careers. Furthermore, this thesis also briefly discusses the ways in which we hope technology will aid us in the future. Technology continues to bring us into a new age and the healthcare system must embrace the change as well. The more advanced the world becomes the more we can use technology to help our patients and ourselves with the development of healthcare.
