Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Poster Description
Therapeutic Recreation is known to contribute to several life-changing factors for individuals including improved physical and emotional health, life skills, social skills, self-respect, and overall quality of life through community engagement. Research has shown how communities and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) have significantly continued to benefit from the support of Therapeutic Recreation services. For years research has shown how individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are commonly discredited and shown lack of inclusivity in society. Due to this, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities become deprived of the opportunity to enhance their physical, mental, and social skills to be able to independently function in day-to-day life. This research is focused on providing in-depth understanding of the critical need behind continuing to provide access to Therapeutic Recreation services to communities of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Moreover, this research emphasizes the physical, emotional, and mental aspects that are improved in the lives of individuals with IDD as a result of them participating in Therapeutic Recreation services. Research has shown nature-based, music, physical, and art activities are among some of the multiple successful therapeutic recreation services that are available for individuals with IDD to have access to. The continued research provides the necessary background on the imperative role Therapeutic Recreation services have in the lives of people with IDD. Therapeutic Recreation services continue to enable those with disabilities to obtain increased skills mentally, physically, and emotionally through ultimately creating opportunities for self-improvement and community inclusion
