Thesis / Dissertation Description

This study utilized the descriptive method of quantitative research. The respondents chosen were 18 years old and above, male and female, and did not have any previous history of coronary bypass graft surgery, regardless where the respondents lived. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling were used to identify the respondents. The tool utilized in the study was a self-made questionnaire and data was analysed using percentage, mean, f-test, and t-test. Majority of the respondents were 51-60 years old, married, college graduates, male, have an income of above Php30,000, employed, and Catholic. The level of coping of patients who had undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery had greater degree of coping in the physical aspect and had an excellent degree of coping in the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects. The level of coping of patients who had undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery had no significant difference when grouped according to age, civil status, educational attainment, gender, income, occupation, and religion.
