This study utilized a quantitative type of research. Snowball sampling technique was used to select 100 respondents from Indang, Cavite. A self-made questionnaire was used, composed of Part 1: Profile of the respondents and Part 2: Factors contributing to the utilization of “hilot” in Indang, Cavite. The statistical treatments used were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, f-test and t-test. The following conclusions were derived: 1) Majority of the respondents were young adult, female, Catholic and employed; 2) Availability and accessibility, information regarding, “hilot”, socio-economic, and tradition and culture were the factors considered as contributory to the utilization of “hilot” as an alternative modern medicine; 3) There were no significant differences in the factors contributing to the utilization of “hilot” as an alternative modern medicine when they were grouped according to age, gender, and religion. There was a significant difference among the factors when grouped according to employment status.
