Thesis / Dissertation Description
The study utilized a quantitative non-experimental, descriptive method. The researchers selected 100 respondents form the following schools namely: Burol elementary School with 9 respondents; Dasmariñas II Central School with 21 respondents: Salawag Elementary School with 19 respondents; Salitran Elementary School with 31 respondents, and lastly San Miguel Elementary School with 20 respondents. The respondents were chosen using non-probability purposive sampling. A self-made questionnaire was used and data was analysed using percentage, mean, t-test, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study concluded the following: (1) majority of the respondents were 36 to 45 years old, have no family history of varicose veins and were already teaching for 1-3 years; (2) the teachers in selected public schools in the City of Dasmariñas Cavite were aware to moderate extent regarding the prevention of varicose veins; (3) there were no significant differences on the level of awareness on prevention of varicose veins when the respondents were grouped according to age, family history of varicose veins and length of service.
