Project Description

Being connected to the class or groups had become impenetrable for some students as a result of the pandemic. Groupthink is an underappreciated phenomenon in which most students are astonishingly executed moreover through group activities for the sake of convenience and a variety of other circumstances that can cause it, which made this study conceivable. The researchers surveyed with the goal of allowing Senior High School Students in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute which had described group participation, group cognitive diversity, perception of connection, and group cohesion while correlating these with the occurrence of groupthink using a descriptive correlational research design. Because the research was done triumphantly as the researchers utilized “stratified random sampling” with total respondents of 133 respondents. Throughout the survey, a 5-point Likert scale and multiple-choice sorts of topics were reinforced using Google Forms, with Pearson's correlation or Pearson's r as the statistical treatment of the study, finding that the correlation between the variables was weak positive. It was assumed from the data and analysis that Groupthink existed among students and had proven that Groupthink characterizes the academic setting and affects how students approach group activities and undertake decision-making.
