Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
An experimental study of natural convection in a cylindrical enclosed annulus filled with air has been carried out to investigate the effect of diameter ratio and the angle of inclination on the rate of heat exchanged across it. In different case studies the inner cylinder surface is heated up at a uniform heat flux, surrounding atmospheric dir convectively cools the outer cylinder. The annulus is long with respect to the gap width (L/δ>>l). The experiments are performed in the horizontal case for modified Rayleigh number (Ra ) ranging from 5 to 10 and diameter ratio of 1.15 < D/D, < 2.3. Heat transfer results are also given for the annulus of D/D,=2.88 at different inclination angles. For the horizontal case, the average heat transfer coefficient is found to be strongly dependent on flow regime. Over the lower range Ra <1. 3 × l0, the effect of both Rayleigh number and the diameter ratio is diminished. For the higher range 1.3 × 10 < Ra 10, the average heal transfer coefficient is strongly affected by Rayleigh number as well as the diameter ratio. The results also show that the increase of inclination angle of the annulus axis causes an increase in the rate of convective heat transfer, while the effect of Rayleigh number diminishes for θ>6O. Empirical correlations are given for the average Nusselt number as a function of the modified Rayleigh number and comparisons are made with the available literature.
