A Large Horse-Shaped Float

A black and white image of a parade float for a Homecoming parade for Bethune-Cookman University. The float boasts a large horse-shaped figure, on top of which an African American woman rides. She is holding a bouquet of flowers. Also riding on the float at the back is a woman is a white dress and gloves. At the front "legs" of the float is one young African American girl and one African American boy. Attached to the back of the float is an American flag. On the side of the float is a banner that reads "The Continentals Ride to Victory with the Wildcats." In the background of the image can be seen station wagon cars and a tall, multi-level building with people standing in front of it. The photographer of the image is unknown.
