Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Conference Paper Description
The authors report the mechanical degradation behavior of perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) membranes under open circuit voltage hold condition. The degradation behavior of an ePTFE reinforced PFSA membrane impregnated with phosphotungstic acid (PTA) in cesium form was compared with that of an extruded Nafion® N-112 membrane. Membrane electrode assemblies were fabricated by spraying carbon supported platinum catalysts on either side of the membrane. Diagnostic tests were conducted before and after 100 hours of OCV hold period. Mechanical tests were performed on as-fabricated MEAs and MEAs after OCV hold test. The PTA additive was found to be very effective in reducing fluoride emission rates. However, the mechanical strength decay for both type of membranes remains significant. The composite membrane retained a comparatively higher level of residual toughness than the N112 membrane. SEM analysis revealed localized cracks form inside the membranes as a result of OCV hold. ©The Electrochemical Society.
