The Evening Item was a daily newspaper published by the Wright Brothers' Company, Item Publishing Co. This paper, published from April 1890 through July 1890, focused on world and local events. The front page of this issue features stories about an explosion at a powder house, eight students being expelled from the State University in Bloomington, Indiana after publishing an indecent pamphlet, the Russian Czar ordering that Russian anti-Jewish policy be abandoned for one year, and more. On the fourth page there is an article of fashion news called At Fashion's Center detailing new trends and looks that have fallen out of fashion.
