Yellow Bluff Fort Monument, Jacksonville, FL.Yellow Bluff Fort is located on the northern side of the Saint John's River and is a Florida State Park. There is no visitor center, no staff, nor facilities, but there are cannons and a monument to Confederate troops.This is the Confederate Monument at the Yellow Bluff. The text on the marker is :Dedicated to the memory of the Confederate soldiers who defended Jacksonville, 1861-1865.Yellow Bluff FortA Confederate earthworks designed and located by General Robert E. Lee as one of a series of forts for the defense of the Saint Johns River.
