This collaborative panel considers the role of readers' interpretations and textual legacies in the _Romance of the Rose_, the French masterpiece of the Middle Ages. It results from a collaborative approach whose starting point is Oxford University's _Romance of the Rose_ Reading Group. Through close readings of the text the panel focuses on the fractured and fraught presentation of knowledge in the ludic and philosophical romance.Jonathan Morton
