Yue Liao

Research Assistant
Researcher from:

Yue is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Behavioral Science at MD Anderson Cancer Center . She received her B.S. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from University of Southern California (USC), her M.P.H. in Biostatistics from University of Texas School of Public Health (UTSPH), and her Ph.D. in Health Behavior Research from USC. Yue has been conducting research in physical activity promotion, nutrition education, obesity prevention, and drug use behaviors.

One of Yue’s research interest is to use novel real-time data capture techniques (i.e., via wearable sensors, smart phone’s apps) to measure people’s current behaviors, attitudes and moods in their daily lives. In this way, she’s hoping to better understand what personal and environmental factors could influence people’s decision making about their daily behaviors.
