Article Description
RESUMEN: El presente ensayo examina el rol que las canciones populares tuvieron en la poética cinematográfica de Armando Bó e Isabel Sarli. Se sostiene que la concepción musical del cineasta fue fundamental para afectivizar y potenciar los efectos eróticos propios de una puesta en escena organizada sobre la base del cuerpo de la diva. Asimismo, se estudia de qué modo las canciones preexistentes tuvieron la función de darle cohesión a relatos que, con el correr de los años, se volvieron cada más digresivos, fragmentarios e insurrectos. Finalmente, se analiza el caso de La diosa impura (1963), una película escasamente recuperada dentro de la filmografía de la dupla, en la que puede comprobarse la forma en que Bó y Sarli supieron articular un diálogo complejo con la tradición del cine de género latinoamericano.
