Resumen En la Argentina de las primeras décadas del siglo XX, el positivismo que regía la ciencia y determinadas zonas de la literatura y el periodismo interpretó la delincuencia y la homosexualidad como consecuencias del desorden o desequilibro en la salud del cuerpo social. Esta corriente filosófica estableció una correspondencia entre delito, enfermedad e inmoralidad en tanto infracciones al código de las leyes jurídicas y sexuales. Nos proponemos pensar el positivismo como forma representacional y como dispositivo de control y patologización de la alteridad genérico-sexual. Para ello, nos ocuparemos de analizar los modos en que el saber positivista interviene en la formalización de algunos textos del periodista y escritor Juan José de Soiza Reilly (1879-1959) quien, en su profusa obra, se interesó, siguiendo este paradigma del saber científico, por el mundo del delito y las disidencias sexuales. Abordaremos de manera específica uno de sus artículos, publicado el 7 de junio de 1912, en el sexto número de la revista Fray Mocho, titulado “Ladrones vestidos de mujer”. Nos interesa particularmente este texto porque allí Soiza Reilly transforma al formato de crónica periodística el caso médico y el caso criminal, géneros discursivos muy en boga en el Buenos Aires de las primeras décadas del siglo XX.
