Article Description
Resumen Euphorbia strigosa es una planta que pertenece a la familia Euphorbiaceae, tiene potencial ornamental ya que presenta brácteas de color rojizo y su porte es bajo, a pesar de ello aún son pocos los estudios con esta especie. Al querer incluirla en protocolos de producción se observó que las semillas con mayor porcentaje de germinación son las de pesos mayores a 13 mg. Al tratarse de una especie aun silvestre, donde es limitado el número de semillas que se pueden obtener se buscaron estrategias para favorecer mayor porcentaje de germinación en semillas de pesos inferiores con la técnica de cultivo de tejidos. Para ello se estableció un experimento factorial. Uno: reguladores de crecimiento (5 niveles). Dos: antioxidantes (2 niveles). Tres: edad de semilla (2 niveles). Cuatro: luz (2 niveles). Cuarenta tratamientos con cinco repeticiones. Las variables evaluadas fueron número de semillas germinadas, oxidadas y contaminadas. Para analizar los datos se utilizó un análisis de varianza donde al no identificar diferencias significativas, se procedió a un análisis descriptivo de los tratamientos. El mayor promedio de germinación fue de 5 %, con la aplicación de giberelinas bajo condiciones de luz blanca.
