his case study has as aim to explain the role of the international cooperation for the development in Tanzania, Mozambique and Nigeria for the consolidation of the political international leadership of Japan. The interest of realizing this investigation is the extension of the knowledge on the use of soft power, to reach the aims of foreign Japanese policy. Hence, it will carry out a bibliographical review for the analysis of official documents and academic articles for the consolidation of information. On that basis, they intend to show that the development cooperation is a tool of foreign Japanese policy to be consolidated as a leader, to the extent that the use of proper tools of the cooperation and the budget allocated for the execution of these has incidence in the votes of these African States for the Japanese initiatives in the United Nations.
