This paper's main objective is to analyze the manner in which Peru has incorporated gastro- diplomacy in his strategy of cultural diplomacy as a component of its foreign policy. In order to achieve this objective, the project argues that since 2008 Peru has incorporated gastrodi- plomacy in its strategy of cultural diplomacy through two tools. First, through its Foreign Cultural Policy Plan, where clear objectives listed on issues of gastronomy. Secondly, using his country brand by which it is promoted to Peru as an attractive country for its wide range of cuisine. This work is analytical and descriptive as it seeks to understand how Peru incor- porated the gastrodiplomacy in its foreign policy and describe those objectives and charac- teristics of the Foreign Cultural Policy Plan as well as its strategy of country brand.
