thesis / dissertation description
This research seeks to understand the relationship between Colombian agricultural policies and aromatic herbs subsector, as part of the transition from ATPDEA to Free Trade Agreement. To achieve that, the paper will observe the main features of the sector and trade agreements to determine how the state stimuli affect the sector production and exportation. Finally, this research seeks to find possible causes for the observed connection between stimuli and the sector behavior. In this order, the data production, international trade and exports of the sector will be analyzed. Besides, the trade agreements properties that benefit the sector and agricultural policies of governments will be observed from 2006 to 2014 to find its connection with the aromatic herbs development. Thus, possible reasons for the impact found throughout the work are established.
