Given the changes that a phenomenon such as globalization has brought to international studies, it has been a change of notion of the State as a central actor and most relevant actor in the international studies, is in a review process. Part of the revisionist state process begins with understanding subnational actors such as cities with an important role in policy making at the international level. Thus the same cities, have taken a leading role to establish relations with other countries, offering their skills and products to participate and interact at the international level. Under this context, the text will be explained the influence of ProColombia role in the process of internationalization of tourism in the city of San Andrés with some South American countries like Argentina, Brazil and Chile based on the concept of internationalization of cities.
