thesis / dissertation description
This article aims to analyze the position, speech and action that have United States and Russia against the Syrian Civil War from 2011 to 2014, in order to determine whether their actions against the issue has generated a change in the structure of international system. While this conflict directly faces the regime of Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian civilian population, who demand greater freedom and greater respect for democracy by the regime, there has been an internationalization of the same category -using provided by Raul Pardo-, generating changes in the structure of the international system in which a power struggle between the US and Russia based on the position that each of these States has taken against this conflict is evident. In this regard, the national interest and the need to influence by the United States and Russia are two key points to analyze a possible change in the structure of the international system.
