The target was to determine the prevalence of skin symptoms associated with contact dermatitis and its relationship to socio demographic and occupational factors, within the care team of a clinical laboratory in Bogota in 2012. In a descriptive cross-sectional observational study (n = 100), it was estimated the prevalence of skin symptoms of contact dermatitis and their demographic and occupational factors associated within the care team of a clinical laboratory in the city of Bogotá in the present year. It was used as instrument, the Nordic occupational skin questionnaire (NOSQ) in its long version validated for the Spanish language. The sensitivity and specificity of the applied questionnaire regarding the questions about eczema was 96 and 75% respectively. The results were that the prevalence of skin symptoms for contact dermatitis in the population studied was 30% for hands and 16% for wrists or forearms
