Promoting social entrepreneurship is a priority subsidy policy of the European Union and our Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Unfortunately, however, there is still no uniform definition which would define the concept of social innovation, or characterized by their structure and classification. This fact causes problems for all stakeholders who have issues with social innovation meet both the theoretical and practical basis. Previous efforts in this field in the Czech Republic are sporadic and have not so far a comprehensive theoretical outputs. Abroad, the issue is elaborated sophisticated. On our territory is not sufficient especially with regard to the different historical and cultural developments as in the period before 1989 there was generally dampened business.
