Article Description
A cDNA encoding a protein homologous to cyclophilins from other species has been isolated from a Dictyostelium discoideum cDNA library. From the deduced amino acid sequence a protein with a molecular mass of 19 kD and 64% identity with human cyclophilin is predicted. Southern blot analysis indicates that there is one cyclophilin gene in the D. discoideum genome. The mRNA is present in all developmental stages. Copyright © 1991 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
