Article Description

We report a simple strategy to synthesize high tap density LiTiO particles with excellent electrochemical performance, whose tap density could be controlled by the starting materials. A series of high tap density LiTiO particles are successfully synthesized with high tap density TiO through hydrothermal process with a short post-annealing. The electrochemistry performances of them were carefully researched in this work. The high tap density LiTiO showed similar performance with normal LiTiO particles. The highest tap density of LiTiO particles is 1.4 g⋅cm, whose capacity is 134 mAh⋅g at 10 C. Those high tap density LiTiO display their promising commercial application in high-energy density lithium ion batteries.
