Book Chapter Description
Theoretical and experimental aspects of the atomic photoelectric effect at photon energies up to about 1 ke V are presented. Relevant formulae and interpretations are given for the various excitation and decay processes. Techniques and results of photoelectron spectrometry in conjunction with synchrotron radiation are emphasized.
