Book Chapter Description

Male body contouring is on the rise. Most body contouring literature is written in the context of female body contouring. This chapter offers a foundation for understanding techniques in male body contouring rooted in a discussion of aesthetic goals in men. Male aesthetic ideals tend to be more angular with increased muscular definition. The torso should be “V” shaped with proportionately positioned landmarks; the areolae and umbilicus are of particular importance. The upper and lower extremities should be sculpted to connote youth and power.
