Book Chapter Description
Causes of dyspnea can range from the benign to the immediately life-threatening. This chapter will summarize the most common etiologies of dyspnea encountered in primary care clinics, urgent care clinics, and emergency departments. Focus will be made on the treatment of causes most amenable to outpatient management, with delineation of situations where inpatient admission or consultation is warranted.
