Article Description

The results of more than two decades of intensive research on the physiological and biochemical features of the lugworm are reviewed with the aim of drawing a general and comprehensive picture of the adaptation of this species to the special conditions of living in the tidal zone, which may also hold true for the majority of invertebrates found in this habitat. © Biologische Anstalt Helgoland.
