Article Description

Joint rheumatism in childhood affects 1 in every 1000 children. In the presence of swelling, limitation of movement and pain in the region of the joint and the musculoskeletal system the suspicion is, however, formulated much more often and necessitates a thorough clinical and diagnostic clarification. Furthermore, specific diagnostic measures are necessary in order to make a correct classification to the individual categories of juvenile idiopathic arthritis and to recognize further organ manifestations or damage. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the importance of the individual test procedures in the evaluation of a child with joint inflammation.
