Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Thermo-responsive polymers present great advantages in the targeted delivery and release of drugs. In this study, a novel type of thermo-responsive polymer called 2-hydroxy-3-(2-propynyloxy) propyl hydroxyethyl starch (PyHES) was synthesized via hydrophobic modification of hydroxyl groups in hydroxyethyl starch (HES) with 2- propynylglycidyl ether (PGE). Aqueous PyHES solutions with an appropriate degree of substitution (DS) of hydrophobic propynyl groups exhibited strong thermo-responsive properties as well as a cloud point temperature (Tcp) that could be tuned within a range of 31 to 48 °C by changing the DS or PyHES concentrations. Moreover, the Tcp decreased with increases in the DS or the concentration of PyHES. The Tcp of PyHES had a linear relationship with DS, and DLS characterizations indicated that PyHES can form thermo-responsive micellar nanoparticles in aqueous solutions. In addition, PyHES can be further functionalized via click reaction of the propynyl group.
