On the best Ulam constant of a first order linear difference equation in Banach spaces

Article Description

We obtain some results on Ulam stability for the linear difference equation xn+1=anxn+bn,n≥0, ina Banach space X. If there exists lim | a| = λ, thenthe equation is Ulam stable if and only if λ≠ 1. Moreoverif (| a|) is a monotone sequence, then the best Ulam constant of the equation is 1|λ-1|.
