Article Description

Mycelium of Inonotus rheades (Pers.) Bondartsev & Singer (Hymenochaetaceae) grown with illumination by blue light contained p-hydroxybenzoic acid 4-O-glucoside, protocatechoic acid 4-O-glucoside, p-coumaric acid 4-O-glucoside, caffeic acid 4-O-glucoside, and the new styrylpyrone glycosides 1 and 2. According to UV, IR, and NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometric data, the new compounds were hispidin 4′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (rheadoside A, 1) and bisnoryangonin 4′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (rheadoside B, 2), which could inactivate superoxide radicals.
