Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Illumination by ultraviolet light and subsequent annealing to 600–700 K lead to characteristic morphological changes of a fully covering four to five monolayer thick RuO(110) film on TiO(110) and even to a decomposition of RuO(110) islands on TiO(110). These photo-induced degradation processes in a water atmosphere of 10 mbar and without water were studied with scanning tunneling microscopy and supplemented by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The photo-assisted process is considered to be mediated by the underlying semiconducting TiO(110) substrate through photo-generated hot electron–hole pairs. Due to energy band bending formed at the RuO(110)/TiO(110) heterojunction (Schottky barrier) the holes are selectively drawn towards the interface, where these can conduct oxidation reactions leading to modifications of the RuO(110) surface and to the observed morphological degradation in the subsequent annealing step to 600 or 700 K.
