Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Introduction: We evaluated histological outcome of an intraoperative biopsy protocol for small renal masses and compared it with literature. Patients and methods: The histology of biopsies from renal masses treated laparoscopic cryoablation (LCA), from 2007-2010, was retrospectively analyzed. A minimum of three biopsies was taken. A 1998-2009 literature search identified a series of LCA reporting histological results and compared to the data of this study. Results: All 61 biopsied masses were histologically classified and revealed 49 malignant and 12 benign lesions. The inter-observer agreement for the subtype and nuclear grade was 93% and 35% respectively. The diagnosis and malignancy rates were higher compared to the rates found literature. Conclusion: The use of an intraoperative biopsy protocol provided diagnosis of all biopsied renal masses and avoided unnecessary nondiagnostic examines. Lesions ≥ 3 cm were more often malignant compared to smaller masses.
