Article Description

In the current study, by using the mixed ligand approach, a novel 2D metal–organic framework (MOF), [Zn(Hssa)(1,4-dtb)·HO] (Hssa = 5-sulfosalicylic acid, dtb = 1,4-di(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzene) was synthesized with a high yield under solvothermal reaction conditions and through the elemental analysis and the single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Luminescence studies demonstrate that 1 is able to be utilized as a strongly sensitive luminescent sensor for CrO and CrO in HO. Furthermore, the neuroprotective effect of the compound on CO poisoning patients was evaluated in biological research. The real-time RT-PCR was conducted to study the expression level of the ROS-related genes in the neurons. In addition to this, the activation of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the neurons was measured after treatment of the compound.
