Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Green corrosion inhibitors play an important role in mitigating the effects of toxic chemicals in the environment. In this point of view, in the present study, Persea macrantha (Kulamavu in Kerala) aqueous leaf extract was used as a potential corrosion inhibitor against the corrosion of aluminium metal in an acidic medium. Electrochemical and physicochemical methods were used to study its inhibitory effect. The impedance spectroscopic method reveals that the charge transfer process occurred during the inhibitory mechanism and indicates metal surface inhomogeneity. The potentiodynamic polarization study confirmed the mixed nature of the PM leaf extract. The corrosion rate of the substrate decreased significantly as inhibitor concentration increased. At an optimum concentration of 100 ppm, the PM leaf extract exhibited the highest inhibition efficiency of 98% in 0.2 N HCl. SEM investigation revealed the presence of a smooth surface of the adsorbed layer following the incorporation of the corrosion inhibitor.
